What’s Your Nationality?

If you had a chance to choose your own nationality? Would it be the same you were born with?

If Yes, Then Why?!

Is it a standing up for your belonging? Is it your shame to be titled as a betrayer or deemed as ungrateful? Is it because that is the country your parents were born? Or because you simply love it?

If No, Then What will be your choice?!

I think we have to take a step backward to think about what nationality actually means!

If our own concepts, values and behaviors don’t manage to fit to the traditional customs and atmosphere of our nationality’s culture, If we refused to relate to their image of ideal manners and principles, If we miss to adapt to the usual traditions -without falling to respect it- on any level. If we mismatch their ideological beliefs with ours. If we preferred to be a Global citizen, the sense of identity that is coming from everywhere, and choose the ideals that resonate with us. Would we still relate to it? Can we still belong to our nationality beyond our citizenship? Can we still call it our country beyond our identity card?

Sometimes the place you are used to is not the place you belong… You belong to where you believe you belong…

Where is that for you?!
