A Bitter Sip of Truth
It was like any other day.. but for Emy, it wasn’t!
After her first sip of coffee, she finally spoke!..
“She was there between us!!”
“You can’t blame the earth!”, He replied
“I expected”..
“You expected what!”
“I thought I was different to her”..
“How?!”
“I wasn’t them”, she replied
“And was that her fault?!”
“Was it my fault?!”
“It was her nature, That’s all”
“She was my friend!”
“Who said you were the same to her?!”
“Memories!”
“Then, Add this one too”..
“I just wanted to know why?!”
“Well that make you any better?!”
“No.. Just to understand”..
“She didn’t even confront, Will she justify?!”
“No but”..
“But What?!”
“I hate open endings!”..
“It was an ending any way!”..
“What if there was a mistake?!’’
“How?!’’
“She wasn’t that type!.. I knew her.. She was my friend!’’
“And now she is also your ex-fiancé’s date!’’
“Don’t say that’’, she bursts her head in the pillow
“But it’s true!’’.. You just have to let it go!
She finally draws the pillow aside and looked at him with her eyes stocked with tears “How could I?!, Is there some kind of a button for that pain in my throat, a medicine for that twitch in my heart, an aspirin for that blocks in my mind!’’
He sighed and calmly said “You have no choice!.. Some endings are meant to leave holes, just for us to have the enough courage to stand upon all that cracks and wisely close!”.
“You can spend minutes, hours, days, weeks, or even months over-analyzing a situation; trying to put the pieces together, justifying what could’ve, would’ve happened… or you can just leave the pieces on the floor and move the fuck on.” ― Tupac Shakur
